Newport Flower Show
June 19-21. Held at the iconic Rosecliff Mansion, the Newport Flower Show is one of the signature summer events in town. The 2026 theme is “Pearls of Newport” for the show’s 30th anniversary. Think floral installations inside the Gilded Age mansions, garden displays, champagne, shopping, and a very Newport crowd.
Fourth of July Celebrations
Fourth of July week is one of the most festive times of the summer season in Newport, with waterfront celebrations, sailing excursions, and fireworks over Newport Harbor on July 4th at approximately 9 PM. Launched from Fort Adams State Park, the fireworks can be viewed from downtown waterfront areas including Bowen’s Wharf and along the harborfront throughout town. Nearby Bristol also hosts the oldest continuous Fourth of July parade in the country, a beloved Rhode Island tradition just a short drive from Newport.
