There is something magical in the air at Christmas time in Newport. Come and see two of Newport’s most elegant mansions decorated and on display during this wonderful time of the year. Throughout each house, find ornately decorated Christmas trees, garlands, wreaths and fresh floral arrangements are designed to complement the décor or theme of each room. As always, the 15-foot-tall poinsettia tree in the Great Hall of The Breakers – made up of 150 poinsettia plants – will provide a perfect holiday photo opportunity. New this year, the Music Room of The Breakers will host a vignette of mannequins elegantly dressed in Gilded Age fashions.
Coastal Queen’s Holiday Cruise will take you on a holiday tour of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay while festive music is piped in and the boat is decked out with coastal holiday style. The boat is cozy and warm and has a weatherproof interior.
Family time, twinkling lights and warm drinks….we love Holidays in Newport. The Annual JAC Holiday Arts Market is a two-day event featuring a curated group of local artists, designers, and craftspeople. Stroll the Jamestown Art Center where you'll find festive handmade and local goods. It won't take long to find mementos to take home!
